Job submission :
Job submission is accomplished using the qsub command, which takes a number of command line arguments and integrates such into the specified PBS command file.
#PBS -q queue_name
#PBS -l nodes=1:ppn=8

Monitoring jobs :
TORQUE allows users and administrators to monitor submitted jobs with the qstat command.

nanoHPC Cluster Installed

[2015-03-18] VASP5.2.12 for Rocks successfully installed!

[2015-03-17] Enabling Public Web Access to Frontend
To open port 80 (the ‘www’ service) for the public network of frontend, execute:
>> rocks remove firewall host=localhost rulename=A40-WWW-PUBLIC-LAN
>> rocks add firewall host=localhost network=public protocol=tcp service=www chain=INPUT action=ACCEPT flags="-m state --state NEW --source 0.0.0.0/0.0.0.0" rulename=A40-WWW-PUBLIC-NEW

Now apply the configuration to the host
>> rocks sync host firewall localhost

[2015-03-16] The torque rolls for Rocks successfully installed!

>> The torque spool is install at /opt/torque/bin. The Rocks way of installing the roll is as usual to reinstall your frontend and compute nodes, but you can also use the following chain of commands to install a new roll on an existing frontend (with or without a previous version of the roll):
>> # cd /export/rocks/install
>> # rocks add roll /path/to/torque/roll.iso
>> # rocks enable roll torque
>> # rocks create distro
>> # rocks run roll torque | sh
>> # reboot
>> Remark that your batch system setup will be reset to the default upon reboot, so proceed with care.
>> After the the frontend comes back up you should do the following to populate the node list
>> # rocks sync config
>> then kickstart all your nodes
>> # tentakel /boot/kickstart/cluster-kickstart
